Labs

Physics

It is a well-equipped and well-furnished Lab. We provided with all necessary up-to-date educational equipment’s. For each practical we have 9 to 10 educational apparatus. About more than 40 students individually can perform practical’s at a time. Photo frames of renowned Physicist Scientist available in lab. Every student individually handles apparatus and performs practical. UPS backup available to overcome power cuts. Up-to-date charts and well calibrated telescope. According to Maharashtra State Board Syllabus, all Practical’s are completed in time. Sufficient space, well ventilation, proper seating arrangements. Individual guidance and supervision received by every student.

Chemistry

The chemistry Laboratory of S.P. Sanstha’s Shramik junior college is designed Keeping in mind the safety standards. It is an ideal laboratory with sufficient space, well ventilated and is provided with all necessary equipment and chemicals. The laboratory is designed to support and illustrate chemical concepts studied in the lecture portion of the Course, as well as to introduce important laboratory techniques. Practical work has had a central and distinct role in chemistry education at junior college level.
The average strength of XI and XII Science is nearly 960. All of them have chemistry as Compulsory subject. The laboratory has a well-equipped instrument facility with best infrastructure and sufficient chemicals. About more than 80 students individually perform practicals at a time. Every student individually performs a practical, learn to analyse, compute, integrate, deduce and to handle apparatus and chemicals. Logical and reasoning skills are developed in students in this lab that ensures success in their future.
All the faculty are experienced and well qualified. Considering the aims and objectives of the chemistry subject our college chemistry lab has been furnished to fulfill student’s interest.

Biology

We have a huge & systematic Biology Department. In our Department there are two separate laboratories. Laboratory ‘A’ for Botany section. and Laboratory ‘B’ for Zoology section.

In Botany section there are lots of plant specimen for practical study and in Zoology section there are lots of animal specimen for practical study. Clay trays are available for Dissection of animal specimen.

Charts and Model are available for practical study. Lots of Dissecting & Compound Microscope are available for practical. Students are using Microscope Carefully.

In our “Department” there is Separate Cabin for teachers to Conduct Departmental meetings & discuss about practicals & Syllabus. According to Maharashtra State Board Syllabus, we conduct all Practicals in time.

Variety of charts and Model are available for practical study. Our laboratory is enriched in with all equipments & Species.

Mechanical Maintenance Department

Mechanical maintenance is a vocational education subject. Mechanical maintenance department was established in the year 1982. Mechanical maintenance is optional subject which is approved by Vocational Education Department of Maharashtra Government. It is practical based subject in which students do different practical like Welding, Fitting, lathe, Drilling etc. job practice and Machine maintenance like Petrol engine, Diesel engine, Centrifugal pump, Bench vice, Air compressor etc. Some engineering drawing practices as per vocational education department syllabus. All the faculties are expert, experienced and well qualified. We have well equipped machine workshop for practical’s. Industrial visit and guest lecture are arrange by the department. We have achieved 100% result in Board Exams and our students have topped Board Exams by securing out of marks.

Horticulture Department

Horticulture is a vocational education subject and the department was established in the year 1982. Horticulture is an optional subject which is approved by Vocational Education Department of Maharashtra Government. It is practical based subject in which students do different propagation methods practical’s like Bedding, Grafting, Layering etc. and special Horticulture Practices like Notching, Ringing, Bending & Bahar Treatment. Students prepare Raised, Flat and Ridges-Furrow type beds & transplanting vegetables, flower crops on this prepared beds. Students prepare nursery and maintain it.
All the faculties are expert, experienced and well qualified. Expert guest lectures and educational tour is arranged for students. Well maintained garden with fruits, vegetable and flowers crops available as per syllabus. We have achieved 100% result in Board Exams and our students have topped Board Exams by securing out of marks.

IT

The College has a separate Computer Lab with broadband and Wi-Fi (Internet) facility. It facilitates I.T. subject students to attend lectures and undergo practical sessions. Computer Lab also supports Teachers and Office personnel’s in Student database management with Unified District Information for Education plus (UDISE+).

Library

The Salient features of our library are: the total books in the Library – 12,946 books. Out of these total books 8,146 are syllabus text books, 1,800 reference books, 3,000 other reading material ,Subscription of 5 well reputed law journals/periodicals and 6 newspapers available to students in our Library.
We have constructed a separate Reading Hall for boys and Girls.

Boys Hostel

There is a separate and spacious hostel for boys. Water, electricity, air, rest facilities, etc. are available in these hostels. This facility is useful for the boys who are unable to travel every day from their villages.

Girls Hostel

There are three separate and spacious hostels for girls. Water, electricity, air, rest facilities, etc. are available in these hostels. This facility is useful for the girls who are unable to travel every day from their villages.y

Sport Facilities

The College has a big play-ground with 400 meters running track and facilities for sports like cricket, volleyball, basket-ball and hockey. The College has a well equipped indoor games-complex for games like badminton, table-tennis, chess, shuttle badminton, wrestling, shot-put and equipment for fitness exercises.

Mess Facility- अन्नपूर्णा भोजनालय

Annapurna Bhojanalaya is managed by an organization.
Mrs. Manisha Wadekar and Mrs. Ashwini Valzade oversee all the restaurant’s operations.
Annapurna Bhojanalaya also caters to student hostels, serving food to both female and male hostels.
For the academic year 2023-24, there are 254 admissions in female student hostels and 125 in male student hostels.
The monthly fee at Annapurna Bhojanalaya per male or female student is Rs. 2400/-.
If students are absent for five days or more, an equivalent amount will be deducted from their total mess fee.
There are a total of 11 employees, including 10 female employees and 1 chef, working at Annapurna Bhojanalaya
